Progress
Good Morning!
This is what we had done by 5:00 p.m. yesterday:
We had to break for a few things (waking children, filthy house, making dinner, and going to a pampered chef party). By the time we got the kids down to bed last night and got back in our groove, it just didn't take long to finish our squares.
I mean...is there an olympic quilt making competition? Because Kristin and I could definitely win gold.
It's a good thing that we're almost done. We have slightly neglected our children throughout this process. This one found her way to the couch and fell asleep somewhere around midnight. We were still busy sewing.
We made a "no quilting until naptime" rule this morning so we're headed outside to enjoy this beautiful morning with Eli, Landon, Madison, and Chip.
We're having the MOST fun!

Spring Break
Guess who came to visit me.
And...she brought her mom too! Kristin and Madison are spending their spring break with us and we are having a blast. In all the spare time we have after taking care of three small children (10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.), Kristin and I have started on a quilt. It's our first quilt to make, but it's been a lot of fun and I think it's turning out pretty well!

Video Footage
Here are two videos I took this morning and a list of things I love about each:
*I love how Eli and Landon are using remote controls as telephones.
*I love how they "talk" on the phone complete with swaying their heads from side to side, laughing, and Eli saying "bye" at the end.
*I love how they stand on those decorative hat boxes all the time. They love those things.
*I love how half of my pantry is on the floor because they like to stack unopened containers of salad dressing, mayo, ketchup, peanut butter, and tuna.
And this next video just cracks me up. This went on for a while before I got the camera out.
*I love how Eli and Landon make a train and follow each other around the house.
*I love how they walk from one end of the house to the other and back again.
*I love how Landon pauses and waits for Eli to "latch on" to his back before continuing their trek.
*I love how they play together with their blocks (when they aren't hitting each other with them).
*I love how different their minds work. Eli goes and gets one block at a time and Landon moves the whole tub over to the rug. He's such a smartypants.

Oh no she didn't...
I sure did put tennis shoes over Eli and Landon's pajamas - partly because we all wanted to go outside to play and we couldn't be bothered by another outfit change... and partly because I think it's hilarious.
Their ridiculous outfits didn't seem to squelch any of their fun. And it certainly only enhanced mine :)

Is it worth the fight?
Ever start something and then really wish you hadn't?
All I did was request that Eli and Landon ask for their food instead of scream for it. I want them to know that there are better ways to communicate their wants and needs. At the mere suggestion that they ask for their food by either saying or signing "more", the situation quickly spiraled out of control.

Then Landon decided he would quit crying himself and try to console Eli:
Don't worry. This story has a happy ending. The best part is...it didn't involve me giving in :)
