Our First Family Vacation

This past weekend, we traveled to North Carolina for the wedding of one of my best friends. I'm just going to sum up the weekend with pictures.

We started our day on Friday at 4 a.m. We were all packed, ready, and on our way to the airport by 6. Dustin dropped me and Eli off to park the car. (Just a side note...who's impressed with the small amount of luggage we have for all four of us???) Speaking of luggage, on the way there, the lady at the counter waived our baggage fees because "those boys are so cute."

This is at the DFW airport waiting on the skyline.

Eating at T.G.I. Friday's in Dallas

In Charlotte, waiting at the car rental desk.

We got the car, picked up Eva (who flew in around the same time as us), and headed to the hotel.

We got in just in time for me to hop in the car with Elizabeth and her mom, Jo. I went to the rehearsal with them and left Dustin and Eva to get the boys ready and meet us at the rehearsal dinner a little later.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the little chapel...it was quaint and beautiful!

The happy couple

The rehearsal dinner was at Buca Di Beppo. DE - Licous!

Isn't a shame we didn't have any help with the boys?

We had a little party for Elizabeth that night

I forgot to take pictures all morning, but here is one right after the wedding

And at the reception...

It was SO good to see Jess and Justin! It's been a couple years, but I love the way we can just pick up like it was yesterday. I really love these two! And don't they look natural? I'm secretly hoping twins are in their near future :)

I got to know this sweet lady really well while she held Eli through the whole reception. It was so nice to be able to sit down and eat! She wanted us to move to Charlotte...I think she liked Eli and Landon!

They were a little tired at this point.

It was an afternoon wedding, so Saturday night we went to downtown Charlotte and ate and walked around. It is one of the nicest cities I've ever been to - it's so clean!

We got up early Sunday morning and headed back to the airport for another full day of traveling.

We had a great time and I am so thankful we were able to be with J and Elizabeth to share in such an important event!

They are so cute! I would have waived the baggage fee too! My favorite picture is where they are sitting together and ones head is on the others shoulder (sorry I can't tell them apart!). They are going to have such a wonderful relationship growing up!
