Blessings!

I have somewhat awakened from my incoherence. I can't believe it's all over and I have two beautiful boys! I apologize now for a total lack of pictures. I know we have a ton, but not a whole lot of them are on my camera, so I don't have access to all of them to share with you.

The boys are doing great! I just couldn't have asked for more. Neither of them had to go on a ventilator and while they have needed to stay under an oxygen tent, they are being weaned off of that and should be breathing completely on their own in just a couple of hours. They are both being tube fed for the time being, but Dustin and I got to feed Eli last night and hold him for a little while. He is so tiny! Landon is bigger, but they are certainly identical.
After the boys were out, the doctor showed Dustin the placenta and you could clearly see the blood vessels that the boys shared as well as how much smaller Eli's cord was than Landon's. He's a fighter! To hear those first little cries is certainly something I will never forget.
I will also never forget how the anesthesiologist made dirty comments, hit on the nurses, and listened to Ice, Ice, Baby, but that is beside the point :)

I won't talk about myself because then I would have to admit how hysterical I was and how I cried like a baby the whole day. We just won't talk about it.

I am really looking forward to today. I am more aware and will be able to go visit the boys more in the NICU. I think more pain goes hand in hand with more awareness, but it's a small price to pay for the two huge blessings I have waiting on me downstairs.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the prayers that have been offered for our family. God has blessed us beyond measure!

The next three aren't that great, but I'll work on getting some better ones today. I have no idea who this is.

Hi guys!!! What joy, what joy, what precious joy! Words can't tell you how happy my family is for yours. Your two boys are remarkable. You can tell by the way they came into this world they will be strong, beautiful people blessing everyone who knows them (just like their parents). Amy and Dustin- yall's faith in God, prayer, each other and your boys is such an excellent example of how a Christian family should work together as God entended during difficult times. God has blessed you for that with these wonderful gifts!!!!!!!!!!! If you can't tell - we love all four of yall and can't wait to meet Eli and Landon. - the Youngs!

CONGRATULATIONS!
I go to Sardis Springs Church of Christ. We have been praying for those precious boys of yours. We all feel like you are part of the family and our family has just grown by two. No matter what anyone says you never know how much love you can have for someone until you have children. Congratulations again and God Bless! Mia Tribble

Oh Amy they are so beautiful and so tiny!!! What two bundles of joy you and Dustin have! We're so happy for you guys. There's no doubt that prayers were certainly answered in your favor. What a blessing those two little boys will bring. I can't wait to see them in person. I hope y'all will visit BCS while they are still babies. Try to get plenty of rest/sleep while the babies are still in the hospital...while you have the chance!

Love,
Elizabeth Smith
